BUXUS EDITION is the publishing house of the non-profit organisation BUXUS STIFTUNG GmbH. Like the foundation, the edition is also oriented towards human rights with its non-fiction books and its literary and artistic programme.

Founded in 2017, the publishing house focuses on the life and work of the lawyer and Holocaust survivor Fritz Bauer (1903-1968), the history of human rights and international law as well as the history of human survival combined with artistic design.

BUXUS EDITION has been publishing the “Literature and Human Rights” series together with the Berg Institute Derechos Humanos (Madrid) since 2020. The pictures on the covers of the book series are by the artist Benoît van Innis (1960-1924) from Belgium.

In 2021, the publishing house began publishing the “Fritz Bauer Library”, which became a publication series of the newly founded Fritz Bauer Forum, with historical and contemporary stories of resistance and survival. The images for the covers of this extraordinary book series are by the artist Reinhold Spratte from Witten an der Ruhr in Germany.
